ARTS PLATFORM
Art, in all it’s forms, is a critical part of the human experience and urban environment. It’s not enough that we have a city that functions. To be a world-class city, a successful city, or just a city that enables people to be happy, we need strong cultural and art institutions. I personally love public art and sculptures, especially interactive sculptures such as Pod in Portland, and my children spent hours in London playing on small, subtle, playground-like art installation near St. Paul’s. These small, human moments bring wonder and joy to cities. I look forward to working with the art community to expand the opportunities for all forms of public art, especially interactive sculptures and beautiful architecture.
