ARTS PLATFORM
Artistic freedom is important. The ability to reflect the world and ones surroundings in an honest and creative way is the most sacred right to an artist. This may be why freedom of speech is so pivotal to my campaign.
I support funding the arts, but I want to take a look at new approaches to teaching as well as expanding opportunities for small-time artists to promote and perform. This takes the kind of mind that really understands the artistic process and complicated path dedicated artists make of their lives.
We need new leadership on the council; leadership that has roots in the streets and in the underground. Together, we can rock!
